Are there any poems written about WikiAnswers in both trochaic and iambic pentameters?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The great thing about WikiAnswers is its natural versatility. Here’s one unnamed example of both poetic meters in action. I’ve isolated each part of each line so you can clearly tell this way which part belongs to which meter. ׀Yee-haw ׀ Fight-em ׀ Cow-boys ׀ Give-em ׀ Hell-er ׀ ׀ Wi-ki ׀ An-swers ׀ the-Site ׀ with-Two ׀ Op-tions ׀ ׀ Shake-speare ׀ Wrote-em ׀ in-Iam ׀ bic pen-Tameter ׀ he-Did ׀ One can clearly see that the first line is written entirely in trochaic pentameter. The second line switches from trochaic to iambic and back to trochaic again at the very end. The last alternates as well. If Shakespeare were alive today he would have most certainly edited one of his most famous lines from Hamlet “to be or not to be? That is the question”. He would change his work today to read “to be or not to be? That is the question and the answer can be found at wikianswers.com” That’s a line I can stand up and cheer for. Yours truly, Jim

Is there any way to earn money on Answers.com?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Answers is a question-and-answer website where users can ask and answer questions on a variety of topics. While it is not primarily a platform for earning money, some users may be able to monetize their expertise by promoting their own products or services through their answers or by participating in the site's affiliate program. However, it is important to note that there may be restrictions on promoting or advertising products or services on the site, so it is important to review the site's terms of service before attempting to monetize your content.

How does the religion answer unanswerable questions?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Your question poses a logical impossibility, since the unanswerable questions can not, by definition, be answered, but I think I know what you mean. The "unanswerable questions" in life are those that we can not find answers to using science, our senses or logic alone. Buddhist teachings about questions such as 'what happens to us after we die?' encourage us to listen to teachers who have become enlightened and understand the true nature of reality, and then to analyze and meditate on what they say. Certain practices can strengthen our minds and hone our ability to concentrate single-pointedly, and then we should be able to comprehend the answers to the unanswerable questions ourselves. There is no requirement in Buddhism to believe in reincarnation, enlightenment or any other thing, the central tenet being that through practice and compassion each of us has the ability to discover the true nature of reality.

Can you get banned on WikiAnswers?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Yes, you can get suspended from WikiAnswers. Usually people get suspended for chatting or ignoring supervisors' warnings of various infractions. The length of suspension can range from a half-hour or permanently. The length of suspension is up to the supervisor. Spamming, blanking, obscene posts, cyberbullying other users, and nonsense answers can all lead to a person being suspended.

You most likely won't get suspended permanently, however. Supervisors usually give out temporary blocks first, assuming the offenses are not major. Cyberbullying is a major offense, and you will not return from that.
